How the standings are built
This is the global leaderboard: every player on DaqsPickEm, ordered by how their picks have actually scored. It is not a lifetime table. What you are looking at is scoped by the four filters above it — season, season phase (preseason, regular season or postseason), game mode, and whether you are viewing the whole site or a single league. Change any one of those and the ordering changes with it, because a confidence-mode board and a survivor board are not measuring the same thing.
How points accrue, by mode
- Straight picks — one point for every game you called correctly. Nothing is weighted.
- Confidence — you rank the week's games and a correct pick pays the number you assigned it, so a sixteen-game week is worth up to 136 points and being confident about the wrong game is expensive.
- Against the spread — scored against the published line rather than the final score, so covering matters and winning outright does not by itself.
- Survivor — scored as weeks survived. One pick a week, never the same team twice, one loss ends the run.
The W–L–T column is the raw record of decided picks: games that have gone final and been scored. Ties are pushes — a spread pick that lands exactly on the number, or a game that finishes level. The percentage beside it is wins divided by decided picks, so it ignores anything still in progress and moves on its own as results come in. A player who has made more picks is not automatically higher: the points column rewards volume, the percentage column rewards accuracy, and they routinely disagree.
Weekly, league and season-archive views
The season board here is one of several. There is a weekly board that resets every week and shows who is moving, a per-league board scoped to the members of one league, and an archive of finished seasons. A single set of picks feeds all of them at once — you do not enter anything twice.
Why some names are shortened
Display names on this page are shortened for anyone who has not chosen to make their profile public. That is a privacy setting, not a paywall: players opt in to being identifiable on a public leaderboard, and until they do, the site shows enough to keep the table readable and no more. Signing in does not reveal other people's private names either — it just lets you appear on the board yourself, and see the tabs and game-mode filters that are gated above.
There is no entry fee to appear here and there is nothing to win but the position. The ordering is the whole product.
Ordering players is the whole game
A leaderboard is a ranking after the fact. These are the rankings written before it β who we would take, who we would drop, and what we got wrong last time.
