Once a friend completes all three steps, they become a qualified referral. When you reach 5, your free month is applied automatically (you'll see it under Settings → Premium). Your progress toward the next reward is shown on the Refer Friends card.
Why the play requirement? It keeps the program fair — rewards are for bringing real players into your leagues, not for creating accounts. Referrals that look automated or duplicated may be held for a manual review before they count.
